Electromagnetic modelling of a heterogeneous half-space for GPR applicationsPublications

Posted by Lara Pajewski Wed, February 14, 2018 17:00:44

Open access paper recently published on Remote Sensing by a team of researchers from Italy, Poland and Russia (with acknowledgement to TU1208).

The paper presents a new method for the electromagnetic modelling of a heterogeneous half-space. The proposed technique was successfully compared with gprMax results; then, it was applied to the interpretation of experimental data collected on the Lake Chebarkul, in Russia, and to the simulation of lunar regolith.

The research work presented in this paper was mostly carried out during two Short Term Scientific Missions funded by COST (www.cost.eu) and hosted by the National Institute of Telecommunications of Poland.

TU1208 GPR Association was founded in September 2017 as a follow up of the COST Action TU1208 "Civil engineering applications of Ground Penetrating Radar," to keep the scientific network alive, continue the excellent work that was done in the framework of the Action, and further support cooperation between Universities, research centres, private companies and public agencies active in the Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) field.

To join the Association, please visit http://gpradar.eu/tu1208/ and read the instructions in the right column. The Association welcomes applications from all experts working in the GPR field (not only from those who were participating in the COST Action TU1208).
